Who we are
Meet Carol – Podiatrist at Foot Clinic Burwood
Carol brings warmth, expertise, and a truly unique background to her podiatry practice. After earning her Bachelor of Podiatry from the University of Newcastle, she has combined clinical knowledge with a wealth of life experience to provide compassionate, patient-focused care.
Her journey to podiatry wasn’t a straight path. Before discovering her passion for helping people through foot health, Carol spent over a decade as a financial planner, guiding clients through complex and often uncertain times. This career not only honed her problem-solving and communication skills but also shaped her collaborative approach to podiatric care. “Whether it’s planning for the future or treating feet, teamwork makes the dream work!” she says with a smile.
Carol’s interest in podiatry is deeply personal. Growing up in Hong Kong with flat feet and muscle pain, she knows firsthand the difference proper care can make. Later, watching her mother-in-law find relief from ankle pain and rheumatoid arthritis through podiatry gave Carol the final push to pursue this career. Today, she is proud to be that “foot doctor” for others.
At Foot Clinic Burwood, Carol enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team alongside doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and fellow podiatrists. She believes that each practitioner brings something unique, and together they ensure patients receive the highest standard of care.
Outside the clinic, Carol leads a vibrant and varied life. She’s a part-time macadamia farmer on the NSW mid-north coast, an avid organic gardener, and loves taking road trips to explore Australia.
Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, Carol is passionate about breaking down language barriers to make podiatry more accessible to Burwood’s diverse community.
